Hoboken Awarded $900,000 To Repair Waterfront Parks
TweetHoboken, NJ - Monday, April 11th, 2011

The City of Hoboken has been awarded a $900,000 Green Acres Matching Grant Award to repair Sinatra Field and Castle Point Park. Portions of the parks collapsed into the Hudson River in September, 2009.
I am so thankful to the Green Acres Program for providing this grant so we can rebuild our badly-needed soccer field and reduce the cost to taxpayers, said Mayor Dawn Zimmer. I recognize that open space is a very important issue to our community, and I have worked to move forward with repairs while seeking as much outside funding as possible to offset this immense cost.
An update on the waterfront will be provided this week.
