This department plans and executes a wide range of community events throughout the year to promote the Arts, theater, family and music activities. Our diverse programming is designed to appeal to the entire community
and bring people together. We also provide assistance to local organizations for their annual Hoboken events.

Sinatra Idol Contest
Thursday, June 13th
• 6:30pm to 9pm

15 Contestants Strut their Stuff. Prizes awarded to the best Sinatra Style Vocalist.

3rd Sundays: Hoboken Monthly Gallery Walk -
Next Gallery Walk is Sun. May 19, 2013
Occurring on the third Sunday of each month from 2 to 6 pm,
ten galleries and art spaces around Hoboken will hold special events and receptions in a coordinated tour de force. 3rd Sundays will highlight the work of local, regional and international artists. You will find a wealth of fantastic art in spaces whose atmospheres range from sophisticated to funky. Whatever your taste in fine art, you are sure to find something you love.

Art on the Fence: An Outdoor Mural Project
Featuring the work of 20 local artists
Takes place on 11th St. from Hudson St., heading east along Sinatra Drive,
and Washington St. bet. 14th & 15th St.

Fitness in the Park

Get in shape by trying something new and different each week. Free classes presented by local fitness establishments. Wear loose fitting clothes and sneakers. Bring mat if needed and water.

Spaghetti Dinner Block Party

Takes place along the walkway on Sinatra Drive bet. 1st & 2nd Streets.
Lots of great food, live music & family atmosphere.
Tickets available for purchase beginning June 10th at City Hall in the Cultural Affairs Office, 2nd floor.

Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse in partnership with the City of Hoboken and Downtown Boathouse of New York City will host free Kayaking Days throughout the summer at Maxwell Place Park near the intersection of Sinatra Drive and Maxwell Place.

Hoboken Arts Resource Guide. In an effort to help promote the arts and the efforts of local arts groups & businesses, Mayor Dawn Zimmer & the City of Hoboken are creating an Arts Resource Guide for Hoboken. There is no charge to sign up, and the information will be available for free on the City’s website. Whether you are an artist, crafter, musician, writer, actor, theatre group, etc, this is a great way to market what you do and a great way to promote the arts.
