Fitness in the Park

takes place Mondays
at Pier A Park, First St. & Frank Sinatra Drive

Time: 7pm to 8pm , Classes are Offered Free to the public

Each week there will be an introductory class
sponsored by a different local fitness establishment.
Be sure to wear sneakers and loose fitting clothing.
Bring your own mat if needed and water.

June 4 - Work It Out Fitness Studio(201) 222-0802
We will be offering a latin inspired Zumba class which involves dance & aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts with squats and lunges. In case of rain, will offer free Zumba Love class at the studio. Call for information and to reserve a spot.

June 18 - Hudson Dance & Movement - (201) 683-4350
Zumba is Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends upbeat international music & contagious steps. It’s easy, effective & totally exhilarating. A fun, energizing dance class! in case of rain, meet at 70 Hudson St., 4th floor or call.

June 25 - Cross FIT Hoboken - (800) 396-6705
Introductory CrossFit class for all levels. Focused on body weight movements performed at high intensity! Rain or Shine.

July 9 - CKo kickboxing - (201) 798-0770
A fun fitness kickboxing class.  Warm-up & stretch & then on to the hanging heavy bags. Work at your own pace. Beginners are welcome. Open to all hoboken residents who have no medical conditions.  Gloves will be provided. In case of rain, a free class will be offered at 900 Madison St.

July 23 – Local Barre – (201.743.8002)
Core Fitness Class: A fusion of ballet fundamentals, core conditioning, yoga and stretching for a total body workout using dance techniques to achieve a lean, flexible, youthful body. Open to beginners and all levels of practice. Starts at 6:30pm, end of the Pier by the gazebo. Look for Local Barre banner. In case of rain, Aug. 26th at 5pm at Pier A.

July 30 - Hudson Athletic Club (201) 798-1811
Bootcamp: Extra challenging. A bit of sports performance & just enough strength training to have your muscles on fire. Come with an open mind. Anything goes. If drizzling, class will take place outdoors. If pouring rain, meet at HAC, 130 Washington St. or call.

Aug. 13 - Club H - (201) 653-4040
Offering Zumba fusion of Latin & international music dance themes. Routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast & slow rhythms. In case of rain, class will be held at Club H on Sinatra Drive.

Aug. 20 – LA BOXING – (201) 332-4269
A High Energy, Fun, Full Body Boxing workout with professional Fighters! Strengthing & toning while building endurance & functional fitness. Consists of warm-up, shadow boxing, heavy bag work, cool down and stretch. All experience levels. Equipment provided. In case of rain call the club.

Aug. 27 – Mimi’s Yoga – (201) 222-1814
Grab your yoga mat for an adult yoga class. Bring your mat, towel & other yoga props. Good for all levels including beginners. In case of rain, class takes place Wednesday, Aug. 29th at 7pm at Pier A Park.
