The City of Hoboken is the proud birthplace of baseball and is committed to promoting the joy of sports through our diverse youth sports programs. The City in partnership with local businesses and the Police Athletic League offer sports program year round.
Athletic Programs
Registration Requirements
Register online or bring the following items to the Department of Recreation, located at 124 Grand Street (2nd floor), to register your child for any of the following sports programs. For all sports programs, the age cut-off is August 1st of that year.
- A copy of your child’s birth certificate
- Three proofs of residency (ie. utility bill, insurance card, drivers license, etc.)
Baseball
Registration: January

Hoboken Cubs: 2012 Babe Ruth Champions
The Hoboken Cubs became the Babe Ruth 2012 champions when they defeated the Hoboken Indians 4-3 in a pitching duel between Riley Conlin of the Cubs and Anthony Colegrove of the Indians. This thrilling game was decided in extra innings (bottom of the 8th inning). The winning run was scored from a play at the plate.
