Parking Towing & Boots
Vehicles parked in violation of posted signs and/or local ordinances may be fined, booted, and towed.
Towed Vehicles
If you believe your vehicle has been towed, please follow the following steps:
- Call the tow yard to confirm your vehicle has been towed (201) 217-3133
- Obtain your valid drivers license and vehicle registration (likely in your vehicle at the Mile Square Towing tow yard address below)
- During HPU office hours (M-F 8:15AM to 9:30PM), bring your valid drivers license and registration to the HPU office on the ground floor of City Hall at 94 Washington Street (201) 653-1919
- During other hours, bring your valid drivers license and vehicle registration to the Hoboken Police Department Station at 106 Hudson St. (201) 420-2100
- Obtain a release form from HPU or HPD and bring it to the tow yard
- Pay for the tow

Booted Vehicles
If your vehicle has been booted, follow the instructions on the boot notice placed on your window.
- Call 1-877-835-3658
- Pay the fine over the phone*
- Enter the auto release code
- Return the boot to the garage at 215 Hudson Street
* Please note that if you are physically unable to lift the boot, you may request assistance from City employees when making the phone call to release the boot.
