After many years of supporting the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Liberty State Park, and the surrounding Hudson County community, the Liberty Run Foundation and its famous group of Marines will conduct the 2013 New Jersey Liberty Run Marathon and Fleet Week Festival and Sports Expo. Best known for the historic 610 mile Statue of Liberty Marathon Run in 1985, the Liberty Run Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides its beneficiaries, both military and civilian charities alike, with a variety of specialized services, funding support, scholarships, and community level projects.
