NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED DESIGNATION OF VARIOUS PROPERTIES
ALONG THE WESTERN BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF HOBOKEN
BETWEEN NINTH STREET AND FOURTEENTH STREET
(ALSO KNOWN AS THE “WESTERN EDGE STUDY AREA”)
AS AN AREA IN NEED OF REDEVELOPMENT
PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. § 40A:12A-6
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Planning Board of the City of Hoboken will conduct a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2007, in the Conference Room of City Hall (ground floor), 94 Washington Street, Hoboken, New Jersey to determine whether all or part of the area known and designated on the Tax Map of the City of Hoboken as:
Block 92, Lots 1.1, 1.2, 1.11 and 1.12,
Block 93, Lots 1 through 32,
Block 97, Lots 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.2, 6.3 and 7 through 22.2,
Block 101, Lot 1.1,
Block 105, Lot 1.1,
Block 106, Lots 1 through 32,
Block 111, Lots 2 through 14.1, and
Block 112, Lots 1 through 32,
which is generally located along the western edge of the City between Ninth Street and Fourteenth Street, is an area in need of redevelopment in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-6.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed area is compromised of eight
blocks (in whole or in part) located immediately south of the Fourteenth Street viaduct and running along or near the City’s western boundary as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the viaduct and the western boundary, then east to Jefferson Street, then southward one block to Thirteenth Street, then west to Madison Street, then south to Twelfth Street, then west to Monroe Street, then south to Ninth Street, then west to the City’s boundary with Union City, then northerly along said boundary to the point of beginning.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a map showing the boundaries of the proposed redevelopment area and the location of the various parcels of property included therein together with a statement setting forth the preliminary basis for the determination is on file with and may be inspected at the office of the City Clerk at the City Hall during business hours. A study of the proposed area by the planning firm of Phillips, Preiss, Shapiro Associates, Inc., is also available for inspection.
All persons who are interested in or would be affected by a determination of the delineated area as a redevelopment area may participate in the public hearing.
