Free Rabies Vaccination Clinics
The Hoboken Health Department offers free rabies vaccination
clinics twice a year, usually in January and May. Check
the local paper for information, or call the Health
Department at 201-420-2375.
This service is offered to Hoboken residents
only. Vaccinations are given to dogs and cats.
Rabies vaccinations are a requirement for licensing,
and must remain current throughout the licensing period
(January—December). For dogs, an initial vaccination
is good for a one-year period. Subsequent vaccinations
are good for three (3) years, however, the Health Department
recommends a vaccination every two years thereafter.
Rabies vaccinations for cats are given yearly.
